1. Operator and contact
ClippedUp at clippedup.app is operated from the United Kingdom. “We” means the legal operator below; “you” means the individual user or organisation they are authorized to represent. Contact clippedup.app@gmail.com for support, complaints and privacy requests.
2. Eligibility and agreement
ClippedUp is intended for people aged 18 or over. You need authority to act for an organisation whose account or content you use. Worldwide availability is subject to applicable laws and actual service availability, without overriding local consumer or privacy rights.
3. What the service does
ClippedUp supports video uploads, selecting or finding excerpts, creating clips, supported caption/style editing, reusable briefs and downloads. Availability may differ between preview and published versions.
AI transcription and editorial suggestions can be inaccurate. Review captions, context, timing, titles and scores before use. A topic request may yield fewer or no suitable moments. Editorial or “virality” scores do not guarantee views, revenue, monetization or platform acceptance.
Manual Clips exports selected timestamps with original framing and audio, without AI highlighting, auto-framing or added captions in that pipeline. Exported clips count toward the account’s displayed allowance. Plans have clip limits and trial exports may be watermarked; no unlimited-use promise is made here.
Creator Studio uses visual/audio AI review of multiple short clips and photos to select moments and arrange a montage. An optional brief guides the edit. Target length is a goal, not a guarantee: insufficient strong material produces a shorter result without looping or invented footage. Only explicit generation confirmation starts paid AI review. A failed review may still consume AI credits; each completed montage uses one clip allowance.
Processing may fail, be interrupted or produce only part of a batch. Completed clips may remain available after a batch fails. An estimate is not a completion-time guarantee.
Direct social posting, scheduling and YouTube/URL import are not currently offered. A homepage illustration is not evidence that an integration exists.
4. Your account and recordings
Provide accurate information and protect your credentials. Tell us about suspected unauthorized use; do not send passwords or social-account passwords.
Upload only material you have rights, permissions and a lawful basis to use. This can include copyright in video/music, speaker releases, privacy/confidentiality obligations and authority to process personal data. Public availability does not give you those rights. Highly sensitive or regulated recordings require an appropriate arrangement and safeguards.
Keep your own copies of originals and important exports. ClippedUp should not be your only archive. This does not remove our legal responsibilities for safeguarding data or reasonable care and skill.
Current results and individual finished-clip links can be accessed without login by someone who has the link. Manual source preview controls do not make all exports owner-only. Do not treat result links as confidential-access protection.
5. Ownership and proposed processing permission
You retain the rights you hold in submitted content. Uploading does not transfer ownership to ClippedUp, guarantee copyright protection, or give exclusive rights in generated text/output.
Proposed limited service-delivery licence: you permit us and necessary providers to host, copy, transcode, transcribe, crop/reframe when selected, caption, create thumbnails/excerpts and deliver content for your requested features. It is not permission to use videos for advertising, public examples or general AI-model training.
Separate promotional use would need appropriate separate permission. This proposed licence does not establish providers’ retention or training terms. A content licence does not replace a lawful basis, sensitive-data conditions or a necessary data-processing agreement.
6. Acceptable use
You are responsible for deciding whether and where to share outputs and making required commercial-content or synthetic-media disclosures. AI-assisted selection alone does not make a recording synthetic media.
- Do not infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other legal rights.
- Do not create/distribute unlawful, exploitative, threatening or harassing material.
- Do not use deceptive impersonation or manipulated excerpts to misrepresent someone unlawfully.
- Do not upload malware, interfere with the service, obtain unauthorized access or misuse accounts.
- Do not bypass trial/plan limits or applicable third-party restrictions.
7. Plans, billing and renewal
The app includes free and monthly paid-plan functionality using Stripe, with prices and clip allowances shown in the interface. A checkout marked TEST MODE is a test subscription, not a real charge. This policy publication does not verify or change production billing configuration.
Before a real purchase, checkout must disclose price, currency, applicable tax, billing interval, recurring nature and cancellation information. Do not enter real card details into a test checkout. Displayed plan prices are in USD; a UK operator does not make them GBP.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Dashboard → Plans → Manage subscription can open Stripe’s customer portal for an eligible subscription where the portal is configured. If it is unavailable, contact clippedup.app@gmail.com. An alternative cancellation procedure must be verified before paid launch.
Cancelling a subscription, deleting an account, clearing browser data and asking to delete recordings are different actions. One does not automatically perform the others.
This draft adopts no blanket “no refunds” rule and does not exclude mandatory consumer rights or remedies for services/digital content that fail applicable legal standards.
Qualifying UK distance contracts commonly have a 14-day cancellation right, depending on the contract and circumstances. Rules differ for services begun on an express request and digital content supplied with express consent and acknowledgement of lost cancellation rights. Using the website, accepting general terms or clicking Generate does not establish every required consent.
9. Problems, restrictions and changes
Email clippedup.app@gmail.com with a problem description and relevant project reference. Avoid sending private footage or credentials unnecessarily.
Proposed restriction clause: proportionate restrictions may be necessary for material misuse, security incidents, legal requirements or non-payment. Reasons and a reasonable opportunity to resolve a problem should be given where appropriate and lawful, unless urgent action is needed. There should be a route to contest a mistake. Restrictions must not avoid mandatory refunds or data-protection duties.
10. Responsibility and consumer protections
We do not guarantee that a clip becomes popular or that a third party accepts it. This does not remove standards imposed by law, including reasonable care and skill where required.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain available.
11. Privacy and changes to these terms
The privacy notice explains data handling and the deletion instructions explain requests. Reading or accepting terms is not consent to every data-processing activity. A deletion email is not an automatic wipe or confirmation that billing stopped.
12. Governing law and contact
Any eventual choice of law/courts must preserve non-excludable consumer protections and court rights in a consumer’s country of residence. Contact clippedup.app@gmail.com with questions or complaints; access to regulators or courts is not conditional on permission.
13. Proposed YouTube clause — not active
If enabled in future, the optional publishing feature will use YouTube API Services. The proposed terms will require agreement to the YouTube Terms of Service for that feature. Google’s handling is described in its Privacy Policy. No connection or upload feature is currently implemented.
The intended flow is to select a connected destination and review the clip, metadata and settings before confirmation. A connection is not standing permission to publish arbitrary content. Platform privacy restrictions, processing, copyright and account limits apply. Uploading does not guarantee public availability or Shorts classification; unaudited projects may be private-only.
Revoking access or deleting connection data will not automatically remove videos on YouTube. Manage uploaded videos in YouTube Studio. No TikTok/Instagram connection, scheduling or platform approval is represented as complete.
